Vintage Halloween Style - Primitive Halloween Jack-O’-Lantern

Grumblegourd of Miss Brindwiddle’s Garden — Primitive Halloween Jack-O’-Lantern 10 x 9. Open bottom

Not every pumpkin in Miss Brindwiddle’s garden grows toward the sun.

Some listen to the roots.

Grumblegourd has watched over the crooked garden gate for more autumns than anyone can remember. Moss has gathered around his rough-hewn stem, the woodland has darkened his weathered skin, and a soft amber light still stirs behind his watchful eyes and jagged grin. he has an open bottom to place a teas light or there is a hole in his back for an electric chord.

With his wonderfully aged finish, deeply carved features, and primitive folk-art character, Grumblegourd appears to have been unearthed from an old fairytale garden where pumpkins whisper after dusk and uninvited visitors seldom remain for long.

Nestle him among moss, dried flowers, autumn leaves, and curious old books, or let him keep watch over a Halloween mantel, woodland display, or cabinet of peculiar treasures.

A delightfully ominous collectible for admirers of primitive Halloween décor, folk-art pumpkins, haunted gardens, and beautifully strange woodland things.
